Review of the New Yacht for Kite Safaris in Egypt

Pegasus is a yacht that we personally participated in building. It holds a piece of our soul and blood (literally, we got quite a few cuts from the sawdust and metal).

The construction of this yacht began in late 2023 and was completed in mid-2025. We strive to conduct our kite safaris on this ship, which feels like home to us.

The construction of this yacht started in late 2023 by our friends. To tell the truth, I personally screwed in a few bolts myself when it was just an unrecognizable frame, so I definitely have the feeling that I took part in its creation :-)))

So, the yacht was built from scratch (0), but with "Egyptian" styling, as 99% do here – technically labeled as a renovation of an old yacht.

What the Pegasus Yacht Looked Like Before 2023

In the photo: This is what the Pegasus yacht looked like before 2023

As you can see, it's like heaven and earth if you compare it with the photos at the beginning showing what Pegasus has become. Once again – nothing remained of the old yacht; a completely new one was built bearing the old name. The old boat was completely dismantled.

A few photos of how one was created and the other dismantled can be found in our album – Photos of the Pegasus yacht construction, and here is how the ship was launched (quite a spectacle, in the typical "Egyptian style") – Launching the Pegasus yacht, 16.09.2025

Comfort on the Pegasus Yacht

This ship is not something super expensive and massive; on the contrary, it is a mega-comfortable and smartly designed ship for safaris in the Red Sea. I don't know why, perhaps because I was there through all stages of its construction from scratch, but being on board feels incredibly comfortable. It's hard to explain why. I have been on many yachts, and on many of them, you feel like you are in a standard high-class hotel, but you don't feel that ultimate comfort. Of course, this might be my subjective feeling, but I am very demanding about everything in life and wouldn't write these words without reason (especially since we will definitely be running our kite safaris in Egypt not only on this yacht).

Not a bad workspace, if you ask me :-)
