How we teach kitesurfing at our kite school in Egypt
In the photo: our kitesurfing lesson, instructor and student
All our training is based exclusively on IKO standards. All people are very different, someone can ride after 6 hours of kiting lessons, and someone will only understand how to fly a kite.
This is absolutely normal and there is nothing wrong with it, it is like any other kind of sports, some learn faster, some a little slower, but as a result, if you don't set mega tasks and do not burn out "psychologically", absolutely everyone succeeds.
The most popular and optimal class time is 11-13 hours.
Is it difficult, physically, to kite - no. Basically, if you get physically tired, it means that you are doing something not quite right, you are straining your muscles, you are resisting the kite and you are getting tired faster. The main part of the body that gets tired is our head. As soon as you learn to relax, and not tense up, everything will go much easier both psychologically and physically.
Unfortunately, psychologically, when we are drawn to something, we cling to it and do not let go. In kitesurfing, it is necessary to do the opposite, hands do not grip anything, we are pulled by a harness (belt) worn on our hips or waist, and our hands are the steering wheel, gas and brake in a bicycle (why exactly in a bicycle, and not in a car - the instructor will explain to you :-))

We suggest Indrive App as it is more convinient the drivers registered there do not start to hassle you about the price and conditions. In the Uber immediatelt after your order they start to write uyou different messages that they are not agree with hte price and you need to pay much more, etc. Be ready - you are in Egypt. Relax and just order somebody else.
The cost of a taxi is 2-3 euros one way, which is very little when compared with other countries. To call Uber, you need an international phone application.

What is desirable to have with you on kite training
- Well, of course, the main thing is a great mood.
- November-April it is better to take a long wetsuit of 3-4 mm, in September, October, May - a short wetsuit of 2-3 mm, in summer - a wetsuit is not needed. We also have wetsuits at our kite school, but many students practice in them, so this should be taken into account in terms of cleanliness. It is better to always have your own wetsuit.
- Lycra, will help you ride and not get burned
- If you are a student or often walk with a kite - water shoes "must have" (diving or simple coral shoes are better)
- Sunscreen and sunglasses (you can buy the simplest ones), the sun shines very brightly, also a buff can be very useful
- Sports medical insurance, while it is very important that the risks include active sports (windsurfing, surfing, kitesurfing)
How to get to the kite school?
The easiest way is Indrive or Uber taxi services. To do this, you need to install the international Uber or Indrive application. The cost one way is 2.5-3 dollars, from the opposite side of Hurghada. We recommend using Indrive - it has been working much better lately.
In the photo: our main boss - the kite dog Diesel, who is always with us. He watches our students and corrects their mistakes.
How long are kitesurfing lessons per day?
Kitesurfing lessons continue until the student begins to get tired and make mistakes on the water. All classes, except for 40 minutes of theory and practice with the equipment (inflating the kite, connecting the lines, learning the safety systems) take place in the water, with an instructor.
Usually, boys study for 2-3 hours, girls - 1-2 hours. After rest, you can go out on the water again, if you wish.
We are always happy to see you at our kite lessons in Egypt and are happy to answer all your questions, and of course, to teach you this wonderful sport.
